ISLAMABAD: The Senate Standing Committee on Sports has decided to convene its meeting on April 10 to discuss issue of Shoaib Malik in context with inappropriate attitude with Pakistani Cricketer Shoaib Malik in India and the visit of Pakistani cricketers to the residence of Ayesha Siddiqui in the past.


According to sources of Senate Secretariat, the meeting to be held at the Parliament House with its Chairman Abdul Ghafar Qureshi in a chair, has also summoned high officials of Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and the Ministry of Sports.

The Senate Standing Committee would inquire from officials of PCB and Sports Ministry regarding Code of Conduct of the board in the past and ask them that who given permission to senior players of National Cricket Team to visit the residence of Ayesha Siddiqui. Inzamam-ul-Haq, Younis Khan, Abdul Razzaq and other players had visited the house of Ayesha Siddiqui.

Sources further told that the committee has also taken notice of inappropriate attitude with Shoaib Malik in India and would get briefing from the officials of the Sports Ministry in this regard.

Chairman Senate Standing Committee, Abdul Ghafar Qureshi while contacted by Online told that the Standing Committee has summoned high officials of PCB and the ministry over issue of former captain of Pakistan Cricket Team, Shoaib Malik.

The Chairman Senate body also congratulated Pakistan Blind Cricket Team over its brilliant performance against England in Twenty-20 and one-day series and urged players of Pakistan Cricket Team to take lesson from blind Cricket Team.
